The mature Christian leads with gentleness, but isn’t afraid to come strong

The mature Christian plays within the rules of the game, but uses a different playbook

Galatians 5:16-18 > 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

The mature Christian battles with a purpose to win

DA Carson: > He means something far more than debating: his weapons destroy the way people think, demolish their sinful thought patterns, the mental structures by which they live their lives in rebellion to God.

Phillip Hughes: > Paul is referencing the citadels of sin in our lives – every high thing, every haughty thought, every action that forms a barrier to the knowledge of the living God.

Chris Daukas

Chris grew up in a moral home, but didn’t find the grace of Christ until he was a sophomore in college. He began to devour the Word and was soon helping to lead bible studies, outreaches, and worship at church. He married his beautiful wife, Tara, in the summer of 2002.
